Royal Ball
Come one, come all, the Queens of the Merrimac P.T.O have declared that there should be a royal ball. A royal DJ, fancy photo booth, and a feast of sweet treats will all be presented to the Princes, and Princesses of the Merrimac Kingdom. Event will be held at the Frederick N. Sweetsir Castle.
Formal Attire is Invited. Entry is $10/Person
This is not a drop off event. All school rules and policies apply.

Brunch with the Grinch
10:30 The PTO Brunch...
4:00, wallow in self-pity. 4:30, stare into the abyss. 5:00, solve world hunger, tell no one. 5:30, jazzercize; 6:30, dinner with me. I can't cancel that again. 7:00, wrestle with my self-loathing. I'm booked. Of course, if I bump the loathing to 9, I could still be done in time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling, and slip slowly into madness...
Come hang with our favorite green guy and let your heart grow three sizes while you enjoy refreshments and hear the story read by the man himself and a special guest!

Hocus Pocus Dance
Join us for a fun Halloween Dance Party! Come dance the night away with your friends.
This is not a drop off event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Dressing up in costume is optional, but encouraged!
Cost is $10 per person, or $30 per family.

Merrimac Goes Back To School
Merrimac Goes Back to School will be held at the Sweetsir School on 8/31/23 from 2-4pm. Students will have a chance to visit their new classroom from 2-3pm, with the exception of Kindergarten which will meet their teacher outdoors in the courtyard. Kindergarten students will see their classroom during their orientation day. All children must be accompanied to their classroom by an adult. More details to come as the event gets closer!
Incoming Kindergarten Playground Meet Up
Incoming Kindergarten families, join us on the Sweetsir playground on Thursday, August 24th at 2pm for an opportunity to meet your new classmates! The PTO will provide snacks.
Wolf Pack Howl Fair
We have made it through another school-year - time to celebrate!
We will have Fat Belly BBQ and Brusters Real Ice cream as well as Cotton Candy and Popcorn for purchase. Come enjoy games, face painting, air brush tattoos, and a bouncy house!
Once the sun goes down, enjoy a free outdoor movie! (Title is TBD - more details to come) - bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a movie under the stars!
Price Info:
Once you arrive at the event, purchase your tickets or bracelets (cash preferred, and card also accepted).
Bracelets can be purchased at a 20-dollar flat rate fee which provides one person access to everything listed below, unlimited.
OR
Tickets can be purchased for 1 dollar a ticket at the entrance. Ticket Prices are below:
Bouncy House - 3 tickets per jump
Games - 2 tickets per game
Face Painting - 5 tickets
Airbrush Tattoos - 5 tickets for each tattoo
Concession Stand (Popcorn or Cotton Candy) - 2 tickets per food item
The outdoor movie is free to all.
Food Trucks set their own prices and are paid directly. Food trucks will also have beverages for purchase.
Ice Cream Social
Merrimac students (Pre K-6th) are welcome to join the Merrimac PTO Ice Cream Social on Thursday, June 8th from 5pm - 7pm at Sweetsir School Playground (if raining, inside the school). Celebrate the end of the school year with a Literacy Night including a make and take project for the summer break. Teachers and Faculty will scoop Carter's Ice Cream!

Polar Express Movie Night
ALL ABOARD the Polar Express!
Put on your favorite pair of comfy pajamas and head on over to Chunky's for some Hot Cocoa and a viewing of the Polar Express! Get cozy and feel the magic come alive - while you share some dinner or snacks with your loved ones or classmates.
Details on how to purchase tickets to come! (Ticket price will include a movie ticket for adult/child and hot cocoa, bell and golden train ticket for all children). All other food/beverage at Chunky's is extra and is paid directly to the venue.
Doors open at 5:15 and the movie will begin at 6:15.
Parents Night Out - Holiday Cookie Decorating Class
This will be a cookie decorating class held by Sprinkles by Stacey where you will learn different techniques needed to create two professional-looking holiday-themed cookies. You will receive a kit with everything you need to make your cookies as part of your ticket price. Then take your newfound knowledge home and create more cookies to impress your friends and family this holiday season!
This event is for adults only.
The ticket Price will be approx $60.00The class will run for approx. 2.5 hours
A portion of your proceeds will be donated to the Merrimac Holiday Helper Program to benefit local children over the holidays.

Coffee with the Counselors: Digital Citizenship
The Merrimac Schools counseling team invites parents and guardians to learn about how to keep kids safe online and what is being taught about social emotional learning. Merrimac PTO will provide free coffee and light snacks. The event takes place in the library. Non-school-aged children are welcome.
*Pick Your Own Design* Wood Sign Workshop
Parents, guardians, teachers, & friends are invited to a kid-free night out where you create your own unique wooden sign at Board & Brush Amesbury. Choose from a variety of designs and sizes: halloween, fall, holiday, and more! 20% is donated to the PTO.
The workshop is $73 and includes everything you need, plus water, sodas and treats. B&B is BYOB. 20% donated directly to the PTO. Pick your design & pre-register by Saturday, 10/22 at 6:30 pm.

Harvest Festival
A harvest evening of fun! 🎃🌽🌻 Merrimac students, families, teachers, friends, and neighbors are all invited to this PTO event!
🚜🌽Entry includes admission to the Kimball Farm corn maze, a scenic wagon ride through the pumpkin patch, farm photo stand, climbing hay bales, and a glow dance party! You may even sneak a peek at their buffalo, horses, and baby chicks! 🐣 Food trucks will be on site with delicious food available for purchase. It’s going to be EPIC!
☠️ Students are invited to wear costumes (no masks, no weapons), and bring friends! Admission is $15 per person, with a portion being donated to the Merrimac PTO. Pumpkins will be available for purchase too. 🎃
